It is on nights like these, when the earth is so bright and beautiful, and the birds are singing, that I forget the darkness and remember the light. Sometimes it's hard to remember, but there is Light in this world, and tonight I found it on a hillside, on a May lawn. And there was a star in the sky for me to wish upon.

And Indeed, It Was Very Good
A perfect sunset breaks across the western sky as I sit, my hands in the grass with the smokey scent of the bonfire tickling my nose. A twangy country voice sings a summer song from the radio in the barn. The music is distant, like summer. Almost here. Almost to the end of the year. The whisper fills my heart and soul, filling me with contentment. I look out over the fields of tall grass bending and dancing in the breeze and think of that seventh day so long, long ago. "Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed, it was very good."

"That I forget the darkness and remember the light." That is such a good line, Laura. Wow.
