Summer Day

  Bright sun rising, rising clear and true.
Yellow sun, cheery sun, makes me think of you.

White clouds rolling, rolling 'round the sky.
Big clouds little clouds, high, high, high.

Damp dew melting, melting in the heat.
Wet dew, silver dew; pure, clean, sweet.

Green grass blowing, blowing in the breeze.
Thick grass, cool grass, buzzing loud with bees.

 Kitty paws running, running through the brush.
Round paws, quiet paws, hush, hush, hush.

  Dandelions dancing, dancing through the air.
Wishes in a whirl of white, flying who knows where?

   Child's laughter ringing, ringing in my ear.
Happy laugh, giddy laugh, sweet, loud, clear.

  Hummingbird humming, humming next to me.
Dipping bird, singing bird; soaring to the tree.
 
  Lemonade swishing, swishing in my mug.
Chilly 'ade, slushy 'ade; glug, glug, glug.

 Hose water raining, raining down and down.
Water clear and water cool, spraying all around.

  Daisy petals flying, flying though its hot.
Loves me yes or loves me no? He loves me, loves me not.

 Guitar strings strumming, strumming soft and slow.
Strings high, strings strong and strings singing low.

   Sunset glowing, glowing orange and pink.
Red sun, radiant sun; sink, sink, sink.
